Abstract:
The author shares the results of a recent study that examined the factors tending to produce delinquency among Jewish boys, including lack of control by the mother or father, lack of harmony in family life, neighborhood influence, personal characteristics, financial stress of the family, and lack of adequate school facilities. It then considers how the Jewish community can best act on this information through responsive and preventative educational and social services.
