Abstract:
The author examines the contemporary field of Jewish community relations, discussing aspects that have changed in recent decades (such as those related to events in Israel, and developments in Catholic-Jewish relations) and others that have remained the same (such as the continued existence of anti-Semitism.) He suggests that one of the most significant changes has been the shift from defensive responses to specific problems to a long-term strategy of proactive and consistent engagement.
