Abstract:

The authors present the results of a recent survey of female Jewish communal service workers on the topic of career opportunities for women in the field. This survey demonstrates, contend the authors, that the gender disparity in leadership of Jewish communal institutions cannot be attributed to a lack of qualified women who are willing to assume new responsibility and to relocate.
