Abstract:
The authors discuss their experience conducting a prenatal education and support group for Soviet Jewish immigrants. They discuss cultural differences between the Russian participants and American staff members present in relation to group dynamics, deference to authority, ease of sharing personal feelings in public, and gender roles.
