Abstract:
The author examines changes that have occurred with the Jewish family over the past several generations. He argues that the family is the most effective vehicle for ensuring religious and cultural Jewish continuity, and argues that the Jewish communal field should forthrightly affirm confidence in the family, while helping families to adapt to new social realities.
