Abstract:

The author, the Executive Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of Greater Philadelphia, recounts his community's response to an announcement that the American Nazi Party would hold a rally in Philadelphia. (This announcement was later discovered to be a hoax.) The author concludes that the Jewish community and the JCRC responded effectively, and details how they did so.
