Abstract:

The author describes a program of cooperation between a geriatric hospital and a Jewish family service agency in which a case worker assisted with intake and discharge of patients entering the hospital for temporary stays. The author details advantages to this approach over the alternative, in which hospital staff alone handles patient discharge.
