Abstract:
The author argues that effective outreach is not a matter of technical prowess or organizational structure, but rather of creating a warm, lively, engaged Jewish community that is passionate about Judaism. He reviews the unique roots of the American Jewish community and discusses the problems of Jewish identity faced consequently by the community's modern branches.
