Abstract:
The author argues that multiracial and interfaith Jewish families are suffering from an epidemic of alienation from the mainstream community. This epidemic undermines values of Jewish diversity, creation in the image of God, and holiness as a community. He argues that this also threatens the long-term viability of Jewish renaissance, erodes American Jewry's political power, and affects support for Israel. He calls on Jewish institutions to embrace a multiracial Jewish agenda.
