Abstract:
The Jewish population in the United States in 1982 is estimated to be 5.725 million. The drop from the 1981 figure of 5.921 million is due almost entirely to a lower estimate of the size of the Jewish population of Greater New York City, a figure derived from a newly-conducted demographic study.
