Abstract:
The author asserts that one of the most critical developments in Jewish life today is the recent creation of formal programs for advanced Judaic studies for women. She discusses programs at the Drisha Institute in New York and finds that new models of leadership are already being realized, as Jewish schools seek out women fluent in Talmudic texts to teach their students.
