Abstract:
The author describes his organization's program called Mitnadvim, an innovative outreach program that makes Jewish teens' interest in volunteerism a door through which they can enter the Jewish community. The program helps teens feel connected to a peer group and feel that they have accomplished something meaningful. The author discusses elements of the program that have made it successful.
