Abstract:
The author presents and discusses the results of a CAJE survey that gathered data about Jewish early childhood, congregational school, and day school educators, including factors such as: age; education; compensation; satisfaction; etc. Among other things, he concludes that the profile of the early childhood Jewish educator is grim: the low salaries and lack of benefits eliminates all but the most dedicated from considering a career in this field.
