Abstract:
This testimony was given before the Subcommittee on Human Resources, Committee on Ways and Means, U.S. House of Representatives, on October 5, 1999, about the proposed legislation, "Fathers Count Act of 1999," introduced by Rep. Nancy Johnson of Connecticut. Turetsky’s focus is on a number of recommendations to strengthen the policy and technical aspects of the proposed legislation creating a fatherhood grants program under Title I of the bill (H.R. 3073).
