Abstract:
The main issue dividing Jewish and Muslim communities in Great Britain is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The author assesses the emergence of a British Muslim political consciousness and its implications for Muslim-Jewish relations in the country, especially as a more unified Muslim identity emerges. The author provides a review of the political orientation, ethnic composition, social position and organizations of British Muslims.
