Abstract:
The author suggests that the concept of Jewish unity can not only serve the international Jewish community but also at times undermine efforts to create effective, culturally respectful collaboration, especially between American and Israeli Jewry. He discusses current Jewish international organization and makes policy suggestions for the future, focusing on the importance of a functional approach to cooperative ventures.
