Abstract:
Jeffrey Gerstenfeld, an American and the Director of the Aspen Institute in Berlin, describes his encounters with anti-American and anti-Israel sentiment in Europe. He contends that misdirected guilt causes much of this hostility to Israel in Europe, in addition to the perception that Israel is an outpost of the United States, Europe's rival.
