Abstract:
The author examines the utility of local Jewish community studies such as the 50+ such studies which have been commissioned by various Jewish Federations from 1993 through 2008. The author discusses how results of these studies have guided community decision-making at the national and local levels, as well as advancing other arguments in favor of such studies.
