Abstract:
Black-Jewish relations have entered a new stage, the author contends, due to changing leadership cadres in both communities, new forms of communal leadership, and shifting priorities and issues of concern. Combating bigotry, however, remains important to both communities, the author notes. He outlines recommendations concerning collaborations between Black and Jewish officeholders, exploring the psychological roots of Black-Jewish relations, peer dialogues, issue development, and the media.
