The speaker responds to the first Annual Assessment produced by the Jewish People Policy Planning Institute. He raises several issues of concern to world Jewry: 1) Security 2) The Jewish nature of the state of Israel 3) Israel's inclusion of the 'other' and its influence upon Jewry and 4) Globalization. The author emphasizes the need for investing in Jewish education as well as harnessing the internet to foster cohesion and learning.
