Abstract:
The author shares highlights from The American Hebrew Jewish Weekly's September 1924 edition, consisting of a symposium in which prominent thinkers, like Stephen Wise, Helen Keller, and W.E.B. DuBois predicted what America would look like in the year 2000, focusing on the predictions concerning the Jewish community. She reflects on the daring of the enterprise, some of its surprisingly accurate results, and such a project's ongoing relevance to today's Jewish community.
