Abstract:
The author contends that the strong Black-Jewish alliance through which Jews accessed Los Angeles politics should be replaced or augmented by a Latino-Jewish alliance, given demographic realities. He reports findings from research he conducted into intergroup relations in general, and prospects for Los Angeles Latino-Jewish relations in particular, including patterns of shared interest between the two groups.
