Abstract:
This issue of Contact explores the potential of Jewish Retreats. Michael H. Steinhardt envisions a program, somewhat akin to birthright israel, which would give each newlywed Jewish couple the gift of a honeymoon retreat. Rabbi Yitz Greenberg discusses how the Retreat Center can become a vital new institution to serve modern Jewry. Jerry Silverman contends that Jewish retreats for adults should adopt some elements of summer camp for kids. Also included are articles by Amy L. Sales, Laurie Hahn Tapper, Johanna Karasik, Rachel B.
