Abstract:
The author discusses the spiritual, educational and familial obstacles that prevent women from fully participating in the Jewish community. Although equal access is a crucial step to overcoming these obstacles, a fundamental transformation of Jewish education, spirituality and familial tradition is necessary in order for the Jewish community to be responsive to and reflective of all its members.
