Abstract:
In testimony before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions on economic security for working families, CEPR Advisory Board Member Eileen Appelbaum stated: "Enacting a working families’ agenda will better equip workers to shoulder the risks of a dynamic and rapidly changing economy. It will also buffer all workers against the worst effects of the bursting of the housing bubble or a disorderly decline in the dollar as global payments imbalances adjust."
