Abstract:

Job tenure and employer-size provisions in the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) exclude a significant share of working people. This issue brief uses data from the Current Population Survey to examine job tenure (in years) and firm size for workers by gender, race, age, and presence of a young child (aged 2 or under).
