Abstract:
This section of the Rental Market Study estimates the number of homeless families and individuals in Florida, including people in emergency shelters, transitional housing, and unsheltered locations. The report then estimates the supply of transitional housing and permanent supportive housing units. A second focus of this study is the effects of the 2004 and 2005 hurricanes on homelessness in Florida.
