Abstract:
The fourth issue of the PROMETHEUS Payment® project’s quarterly newsletter provides brief updates on the program’s recent achievements to test bold, new methods of reforming the way providers in diverse communities are paid. Currently being tested in real communities across America, the project seeks to reward high-quality, consumer-driven care and allows providers who do the right things for patients to also do well financially.
This issue includes updates on several new and informative products are available from the program, such as a two-page brief that clearly explains the Evidence-informed Case Rate (ECR®) concept; updates on the latest progress from the active pilot sites; and a comprehensive case study on budgets under PROMETHEUS Payment compared to traditional fee-for-service arrangements.
