Abstract:
The report identifies legal barriers to the use of patient information to improve health care quality. Funded by RWJF and conducted by a team of George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services researchers, the report shows that legal barriers—both real and perceived—could dramatically hinder efforts to use this type of information for quality improvement.
