Abstract:
A military force is nothing if not the sum of the people serving under its banner. Recruitment and retention are important policy concerns for the UK Ministry of Defence. RAND was commissioned to study the attitudes of military personnel towards their remuneration package in order to highlight the extent to which it motivates them to join and stay in the Armed Forces.
