Abstract:
A strong rail transit system in Baltimore would make the city more accessible and promote urban revitalization, important steps in Maryland's efforts to limit sprawl and encourage better use of existing urban areas. Using case studies of light rail development projects from around the nation, Rail Transit Works shows how investing in an expanded light rail network in Baltimore could benefit the city and the state.
