Abstract:
The debate over alternatives to traditional public education is now at political center stage. Although advocates and opponents are passionate about these proposals, most people polled did not know enough about the options to give a strong opinion. After being supplied with more information, most people felt that the alternatives would neither save nor destroy the public schools.
