An evaluation of President Bush's outlined healthcare proposal in his State of the Union Address that aimed to address two major problems facing this country: 47 million uninsured citizens and the rising cost of healthcare. The president stated that the goal of his plan was to decrease reliance on government-sponsored programs while increasing access to private insurance.
