Abstract:
An agricultural workers survey of limited English-speaking farmworkers who work in wine grapes and nurseries in the Willamette Valley region of Oregon in response to a Request for Proposals issued by the Farmworker Institute for Education Development (FIELD) in June 2005. The survey was conducted in order to help identify the skills, competencies and training experience of agricultural workers, as part of an effort to increase the sustainability of agriculture in Oregon and to further the opportunities for career ladders in the agricultural sector, which are quite limited at the present.
