This report provides a sample of public opinion questions concerning tobacco issues, including the
proposed settlement agreement between tobacco companies and the states’ attorneys general. It
provides survey questions and responses on the specifics of the proposed settlement, teenage
smoking, and tobacco product advertising. It will be updated as new poll results become available.
The report is for the use of Members as they consider legislation currently before the 105th Congress.
