Abstract:
The concept of unmet need for contraception has been central to international family planning efforts for decades, and it is perhaps more relevant to programs now than ever. This report provides a review of the literature addressing the measurement of unmet need, the obstacles faced by women with unmet need and the potential impact of meeting unmet need.
