Abstract:
While the U.S. has made great strides in medical research over the last 30 years, but when it comes to research on diseases that are most prominent in developing nations, our investment falls short. The report goes on to examine how much is needed, and how much the National Institutes of Health (NIH) spend, to combat these diseases, as well as why it is in our best interest to invest in global health.
