Abstract:
The Florida1998 elections covered seven statewide offices. Candidates run together on one ticket for the offices of governor and lieutenant governor. The Florida Legislature is made up of 120 House districts, each with one representative and 40 Senate districts with one senator for each district. The 1998 elections covered all 120 House seats, 20 even-numbered Senate seats, and one odd-numbered Senate seat, 25, that was open because of a vacancy. Representatives for the House serve for two years, and senators serve a four-year term.
