Abstract:
Candidates vied for four statewide and 116 legislative offices. The statewide races were governor, secretary of state, attorney general, and treasurer. The legislative races consisted of 99 House races and 17 Senate races. While all four of the statewide races were contested, almost a third (35 of 116) of the Legislative seats were uncontested. The majority of the legislative races had incumbents seeking re-election (96 of 116) and the incumbents in all four statewide races sought re-election.
