Families USA developed Presidential Candidates' Health Initiatives: How Will They Affect the Hispanic Community with input from the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials Educational Fund. This publication, designed primarily for Latino elected officials, aims to raise awareness about specific health policies, assess the impact these policies will have on the Hispanic community, and compare the health policy proposals of the 2004 Presidential candidates. By exploring several health policy topics and comparing the health policy proposals of the 2004 Presidential candidates, this publication provides insights into the strengths and weaknesses of existing health policies and programs from the perspective of October 2004 Latinos.
