Abstract:
The new Medicare prescription drug legislation creates a temporary drug discount care program that is projected to start in June 2004 and end by January 1, 2006 (at which point the permanent drug benefit will be established). This drug discount program is the only meaningful new assistance America's seniors and people with disabilities will receive during the next two years.
