Abstract:
The President's recent Medicaid proposal, masquerading as fiscal relief for the states, will actually reduce funding for Medicaid and SCHIP by nearly half a trillion dollars over the next 10 years. The report includes year-by-year reductions in spending as well as state-by-state examples of what the most severe reductions (taking place in 2013) would mean--both in terms of dollars and in terms of the impact on people--if they were implemented today.
