Abstract:
A briefing on the initial findings from the Phase I study on improving support to the Commander-in-Chief (CINC) Theater Engagement Plans (TEPs). It is concluded that the TEP provides a useful planning mechanism, but it must be more closely linked to DoD formal decisionmaking processes to ensure that engagement activities are considered for resources within DoD planning and programming. The breifing provides an approach for further examination of the engagement mission.
