Abstract:
In the 15 years since regaining its independence, Azerbaijan has moved from a "country of interest" to the United States to a strategic ally. The country's energy wealth has fueled considerable economic development, from infrastructure such as oil and gas pipelines and railroads to agriculture and agribusiness.
