Abstract:
This report examines Michigan's 32-year old gubernatorial public campaign financing program. It concludes that Michigan should either overhaul its public campaign financing law and provide additional funding for gubernatorial candidates, or abandon the program altogether and shift its funding to judicial campaigns for the state supreme court.
