Abstract:
This report demonstrates that child care is integral to Jefferson and Hardin Counties in the Greater Louisville area of Kentucky. For example, the child care industry supports over 3,800 jobs in Jefferson County and over 438 jobs in Hardin County comparing to other significant industries. The industry also generates significant gross receipts in each county. The report also provides strategies key stakeholders' business, government and child care leaders to maximize the economic benefits of the industry.
