Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to identify and analyze various threats to U.S. energy security both in terms of their past use and future usability. Since the most ominous threat to U . S . energy security is posed in connection with the Arab-Israeli conflict, this paper will focus on the Arab oil weapon, although the energy security implications of the Iranian revolution will also be assessed.
