Abstract:
Military and economic aid to El Salvador should continue. U.S. policy changes, however, are needed in order to make clear that the goals of such aid should be: to defeat the communist guerrillas, to continue supporting the democratic political system, and to redirect the Salvadoran economy toward the free market.
