Abstract:
This article examines the resources within the Jewish tradition that point to the importance of care for the elderly. For example, this tradition calls upon people to recognize that the elderly are frightened of abandonment. The author calls upon his readers to ensure that the generations are endeared to one another and for children to treat their elderly parents with thoughtful respect, rather than disdain.
