Abstract:
This document outlines the most pressing people management challenges our government faces and suggests solutions for each, gathered from a variety of perspectives and supported by the good government community. It also offers specific ideas for how to use metrics and leverage the presidential transition to enhance future reform efforts. These pieces are interconnected and interrelated, both to one another and to the goal of high performance.
The new president will need a comprehensive agenda that addresses all of them. Effective government requires effective management.
